Built in 1996 as part of Daiwa's Connoisseur-X range, the Waggler Special pairs their amorphous carbon and whisker-reinforced blank with a light, crisp action - designed for precise float presentation rather than distance or power.
Expect a smooth cork handle, lined rings throughout, and the black-and-gold silk whippings that mark out the Connoisseur-X family.
Best suited to roach, skimmers, and general waggler work on rivers and stillwaters where finesse matters more than brute strength. Thirty years on, it's still doing the job it was built for.
